A smile means a lot when you’re in a place like this. When a laugh feels like a hug, and a hug feels like a kiss. A kiss on tender skin from the sun like parted lips. From the earth a gentle tug at the shape of molded hips. Hips of cotton thighs, with an arm of cotton head. With cotton in my ears, I lay down in cotton beds. Cotton bedding’s not as soft when you love the one you miss. That’s why a smile means a lot when you’re in a place like this.
